This movie was great. I love a good Nolan movie, especially one where you are given the ending and left wondering the events that led to that final scene. I went into this movie not expecting much, for some reason I also thought it was about a pianist. This was immediately changed when we started watching it. The opening sequence where Hugh Jackman dies reveals the perfect amount of information while still holding back enough to keep you wondering throughout the movie. I also loved the structure of the movie, it reminded me of Memento. It flipped between the present, the past, and a different present, and a different past. You follow both Angier and Borden as they grow in hatred towards each other, and them as they read their individual journals. It was a sick structure and this really helped me stay entertained throughout the movie. I also really liked how Angier developed throughout the story, like he used to not get his hands dirty and then throughout the movie he slowly started to get his hands more and more dirty until he is literally killing himself each time he preforms the magic trick. I also like that Borden's assistant was his twin and committed to the vanishing man trick enough to cut his fingers off. Overall the movie was great and I would recommend it to any and everyone. It felt very Christopher Nolan and it was a beautiful movie none-the-less. I would give the movie a 9/10 and that is being less than generate.
